Download and Explore World Countries JSON Data on Kaggle

The library provides national flags of each country as a 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48, 64x64 and 128x128 PNG images. The image files are named using the ISO 3166-1-alpha-2 code of the country they represent, for easily pairing flags with countries.

To download the entire package containing all the world countries in all the 34 languages, in all the available formats (CSV, JSON, PHP, SQL and XML), with flags included, and with the ISO 3166-2 list of administrative divisions and dependent territories of all countries, use the big Download button at the top.

However I want to update new json file (same name) by uploading it to FirebaseStorage, then every time the app open, it will download new file via get http and access it later (the app still accesses the old file when the new file hasn't finished downloading)

- Option 1: Download the new file country.json from Http link and overwrite to the old file in assets - Option 2: If it is unable to interfere with the assets, then download it to wherever possible in local storage and prioritize access to the new file over the old file in the assets

You can follow this guide on Firebase Cloud Storage for downloading files in Flutter. Steps on how to upload files to Cloud Storage is also discussed in the docs. Then to update the local json file, you can read the json and map it to a model/Object or List.

In order to reduce the operational burden of maintaining an up-to-date list of rules for geographical location blocking, this blog post provides you with an automated solution that applies geography-based IP (GeoIP) restrictions based on a descriptive JSON file that lists all the locations that you want to block. When you update this file, the automation applies all rules to the specified AWS WAF web ACL. For countries not listed on the geographic match condition (or if you just need to block a subset of IPs from a country), the JSON file also has a section where you can list IP ranges that should be blocked.

I am using a topojson file for shape map in power Bi. I want a world map with all countries marked( sort of a heat map). Refer to the below picture for details. But the present topojson file does not have all the countries ,eg., it doesn't have Singapore. Can anyone help me with a json file that has all the countries.

There is Singapore country in the TopoJSON file in the file "world-countries-sans-antarctica.json" of . If Singapore is not on the heat map or shape map, it may be the reason why there is no data about Singapore in the source data file. You can see the create shape map visualizations in Power BI Desktop (preview) article for more information about the steps to create shape mapping.

In a fast-evolving pandemic it is not a simple matter to identify the countries that are most successful in making progress against it. For a comprehensive assessment, we track the impact of the pandemic across our publication and we built country profiles for 207 countries to study in depth the statistics on the coronavirus pandemic for every country in the world.

The MODIS burned area product is available for download in either HDF, GeoTIFF, or Shapefile format from the University of Maryland s server. Login credentials can be found in the User Guide on page 17.

For downloading the product files, you can use your current web browser such as Firefox or Internet Explorer, or the command-line ftp and lftp utilities. For those desiring more flexibility, we recommend using special FTP software when downloading large amounts of data. You can use freely available software such as FileZillaClient3 or SmartFTP4 , both of which allow you to schedule the download to start at a later time.

I didn't try to do anything because I don't know how to do, the only idea that comes to me is to edit the file by hand but this thing does not seem particularly intelligent, because I don't know how to change the arcs.

Step 1: Save and download the GeoJSON layer from the URL (copy paste the data into a text editor and save as "nuts0.json"). Drag this file into QGIS and select OK to accept the CRS (EPSG 4647).

When you run your script, Python creates a new HTML file in your working directory that displays an empty world map with the default settings provided by Folium. Open the file in your browser by double-clicking on it and take a look:

With this code, you asked Folium to create a new vector layer on top of your world map using the GeoJSON provided at the given URL. Run your script again to replace the old HTML file, then refresh your browser to see the updates:

You must start the key_on parameter with "feature" and then follow it with a dot-notation path to the value that you want to link. This might not seem intuitive when you first look at the content of a GeoJSON file:

Country information is read from a JSON file. One is shipped with the package, but you can also provide your own to the CountryData class as describedabove. The information in the default file was gratefully extracted fromcountry-converter. (Many thanks!)

We also have a product, the Country Codes Collection, which you can preview free of charge on the OBP (where you will also find a decoding table). It contains the codes from Parts 1, 2 and 3 of ISO 3166 in three different formats (.xml, .csv, and .xls) for easy integration into your own systems. You will be notified when changes are made so you can download the latest versions. In this way, you can be sure that your database is always using the most up-to-date information from ISO.

If your geodata comes in files, probably they are shapefiles. There are a number of /javascript, we will use shapefile by Mike Bostock the creator of D3js, a library we will use later for visualising our data.

OSM, is the wikipedia of geodata: a very useful resource for any mapping project. The data comes in .osm files a form of .xml file. There are a lot of ways to get OSM data, see the wiki. To convert it to GeoJSON, you can use osmtogeojson which works as a command line tool.

This is not a tutorial on OSM data. There are a lot of properties and the data being provided by many different people, is complex to handle. But it is fairly safe to assume that a feature with a geometry type of 'Polygon' or 'MultiPolygon', where the property building is neither undefined nor 'no', really is a building. Let us apply this logic to our file.

As an example we will use turf-intersect which takes two features and returns the intersection as a new feature, or undefined if the two features do not intersect. We will use it to select a bounding box from the countries that we got in the chapter about shapefiles.

We're happy to offer free world cities databases (by country). They include fields such as latitude, longitude, population and more. Choose a country to learn more and download. Or, view our entire world cities database.

Built by the community and William & Mary geoLab, the geoBoundaries Global Database of Political AdministrativeBoundaries Database is an online, open license resource of boundaries (i.e., state, county)for every country in the world. We currently track approximately 1 million boundaries within over 200 entities, including all 195 UN member states. All boundaries are available to view or download incommon file formats, includingshapefiles;the only requirement for use is acknowledgement.

Every one of our boundaries is available as a Shapefile and geoJSON, with globallyunique identifiers and consistent attributes. We provide both manual download andAPI access to support most users preferred mode of access.

We require an acknowledgement in any products you produce which use this data. ThegeoBoundaries team is primarily judged on it's citations: it is how our users, funders andpeers track our progress and impact. In most uses, you should cite two sources:geoBoundaries, and the underlying source we provide in the metadata for a given file.

You can use custom maps with Shape map as long as they are in the TopoJSON format. If your map is in another format, you can use online tools such as Map Shaper to convert your shapefiles or your GeoJSON maps into the TopoJSON format.

To use a TopoJSON map file, add a Shape map visual to your report. Under Map settings in the Format pane, select Custom map from the dropdown, then choose Add a map type.

The Offices of the United States Attorneys release an annual fiscal report on their litigation and caseload data. We've converted some of their district data into .json files and added them to this sample PBIX.

Since states can be divided into multiple districts, we have to use a custom shape map for districts. By importing the TopoJSON map of the U.S. judicial districts into Power BI Desktop, we can then visualize the annual fiscal district attorney data. The image below uses a custom map named 2000_districts_extra_simplified_CONUS.json file.

Any arguments passed to geopandas.read_file() after the file name will bepassed directly to fiona.open(), which does the actual data importation. Ingeneral, geopandas.read_file() is pretty smart and should do what you wantwithout extra arguments, but for more help, type:

Since geopandas is powered by Fiona, which is powered by GDAL, you can take advantage ofpre-filtering when loading in larger datasets. This can be done geospatially with a geometryor bounding box. You can also filter rows loaded with a slice. Read more at geopandas.read_file().
